Not to be a downer, but that Jules Verne Fest is a bit of a rip; I went to The Birds event a few weeks ago & was greatly dissappointed. First off, they didn't have a dedicated seating area in which to watch; it was basically first come first serve. If you've been to the Edison you know that means bar seating & few cozy couch areas. If you're not lucky enough to score couch area, you end up in an alcove watching the films on monitors - and it's just a standard DVD they are playing, not a film projected at all. And for fear of losing your spot, you're pretty much rooted to your area, ordering expensinve drinks & can't even wander around to enjoy the ambiance of that great space. The Edison is just not made for viewing films. Did I mention it's $20 bucks a ticket? You could own the dvd they are playing for that much...
