• As is the usual for LA, there were a lot of traffic issues out there. If you were in the Glendale area around the 2 Freeway, you were especially unlucky. A murder investigation on the 210 - 2 connector and a chase, crash and arrest that started on the 134 and ended on the 2 caused even more problems.
• There are a lot of bad people out there and some very unlucky women end up marrying them. A husband is on the run from the law for a shooting death of his wife and another husband is suspected in the stabbing of his wife. Yikes...
• With LA County reportedly receiving about $128 million less from the state budget than previously thought, people who need help before will end up suffering more.
• Wait... did we say the state budget was finalized? Well the Governator has other ideas. Everybody back to Sac-Town!
• We all love our Lakers... most of us anyway. But sometimes it can go a little too far.
• Surfers are totally bummed about the failure of an artificial reef. It was supposed to reverse the effects of a jetty put up by Chevron to protect an oil pipeline. After seeing no way of restoring the previous surf, it had to be dismantled.
• Boarding schools... yes BOARDING SCHOOLS are catching on here in California. People dissatisfied with the public school system, along with the opening of financial aid have made the schools more accessible to average income families.
• Finally... what do you get that *nearly* 16 year old who has everything? How about approval of a 20 year old boyfriend? Great times... great times.
