TV Junkie: Monday

HeroesTyler Perry, the man who Hollywood ignored for years before his sold-out plays were translated into the very successful series' "House of Payne" and "Meet the Browns", opened his own 30 acre studios in Atlanta this weekend. Just wait for Mike Birbiglia to do the same thing.

"SNL" has been on a tear with its politically-tinged sketches over the past several weeks and people seem to like it - ratings have shot up 49% over this time last year.

8:00pm Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles FOX - John and Derek infiltrate a military academy to protect an important member of the future resistance

8:30pm How I Met Your Mother CBS - Ted is stunned to learn that Stella expects him to move to New Jersey after they wed.

9:00pm Heroes NBC - Peter takes on a dark, dangerous ability; H.R.G decides to get rid of his new partner.

9:00pm I Want to Work For Diddy VH1 - Season Finale.

10:00pm Boston Legal ABC - Denny/Shatner is arrested for carrying a concealed weapon after shooting a mugger.

10:00pm Raising the Bar TNT - Jerry's newest client is accused of stealing money from a hit-and-run driver; Bobbi handles a domestic-violence case

11:35pm Late Show With David Letterman CBS - Comedy, Actor Russell Crowe; author Sarah Vowell; the Pretenders perform.

12:35am The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson CBS - Actor Seth Green; comedians Dick and Tom Smothers.

In re: to SNL... I feel like any sketch that ISNT election related, Weekend Update, or with Andy Samberg in it is a total flop. SNL is still not as funny as its heyday, it just does political satire very well. I tivo so I can skip all the boring sketches. Who's with me?

 

i watched the entire show for lack of anything better to do, but i gotta say that the opening sketch stole the show... maybe just tina fey as palin.
