Martial Law was Threatened if Bailout Didn't Happen

Valley Congressman Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks) stood his ground on Friday during the second House bailout vote that passed. He, along with the majority, voted no on Monday and he once again voted no on Friday, although that time in the minority. yet another example of our elected officials acting against the wishes of the voters.

does it make sense that we are printing up money out of thin air when the country is alreay in debt in the trillions?

we will NEVER be able to pay the federal reserve back.

this has happened before and its happening again.

we need to begin live within our means and become self sufficient.

Startling but hardly surprising. As Charles Bukowski once noted, "The entire world functions on fear."

This bailout is going to make a sick blockbuster movie in 2 years. I hope bruce willis plays Treasury Secretary Paulson.

Disgruntlement in full effect at Rep. Adam Schiff's blog as well.

Is is me or are you guys missing the bigger picture here? Threatening Martial law if you don't pass it? HELLO! We should be in the streets demanding those who did the threatening and calling for Bushs removal with charges of treason! We have a standing army on our soil as of Oct. 1st that is answerable only to still president Bush. Search Naomi Wolf
Its damn near a coup.

Saw this reference on another bailout post...
Newsweek story about which CEOs in this bailout scandal walked away with what. One of the bailed out companies had a $400k company retreat *after* they got their bailout money. Argh.
