Election Day Is Here, Happy Voting

Election Day in CaliforniaNo, we're not a month ahead of ourselves. Confused? Brian Leubitz at Calitics explains: "While it might not be November 4 yet, today is the day that vote by mail ballots are sent out to the masses. Furthermore, in government buildings across the state, early voting begins today. Folks, every day between now and the 4th is Election Day. While about half of the vote will actually come on election day, in some counties large majorities will vote before E-day."

I'm voting by mail! While sitting on my couch reading up on the issues on my trusty mac. Future of voting? I think so.

As much as I like the option of voting early, I'm totally going to hold out for the "I voted" sticker so I can wear it proudly! :)

When I send my ballot in the mail, I'm gonna go and buy a month's supply of I voted stickers and wear one everyday until November. Beat THAT Maggie!

Does anyone know the details of early voting here in L.A. County? I understand that there won't be sites set up for touch-screen early balloting as there have been in recent cycles. The County Clerk's website is not especially helpful. If I'm not on the list to receive an absentee ballot, how do I cast my vote early?

I like the leasure of voting by mail.

I began voteing by mail when I read that the Diebold machines were easily hacked, and it looked like Bruce McPhereson was goiung to certify the machines regardless of anyone's objections.

I've found I like VbM better. I've got a whole month to vote.

calical, I used to vote early at Los Angeles Public Library downtown on, (eeeek), Diebold machines. I don't know if they're still doing that. You might want to check.

Vote no on prop 8. Keep marriage equal.
