Get Out: Sunday

COMPETE IN THE 4-SQUARE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Or just sit back and watch. The Nike-hosted event will be happening tonight at The Montalban. Every Sunday night this venue will house a different sport. This week, the L.A. Dodgeball Society is helping out by bringing back the classic game of 4-square. Look out for wild costumes and that giant rubber ball.

LISTEN TO SOME GREAT WRITERS
Writer Joseph Mattson reads from his new book, "Empty The Sun", at Family. The cool thing about this book is the band Six Organs of Admittance created a soundtrack to accompany it. The band will perform live at the reading, and authors Elisa Ambrogio and Arthur Nersesian also read.

TAKE A BREAK IN NOHO
The NoHo Scene Festival is one day only-- and that day is today! Make sure to stop by this great neighborhood event. They have all the ingredients to make a great festival including theater, art, music, food, craft stands, and even a Millenium Dance Contest judged by Shane Sparks of MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew". You never know, this could be your big break!

ATTEND A TRIPPY FILM FESTIVAL
This is no Sundance. Elevate Film Festival combines science, technology, cinema, and your senses to, well, elevate you. There will be live performances and over 20 films screened at the Nokia Theater. The theme of the night is, "All Tribes Unite!", and there will be actual tribal leaders in attendance. Comparing themselves to the Cirque du Soleil of the film-world, this is definitely something you might want to experience.

Other Things To Do...
Did someone say chocolate? The L.A. Chocolate Salon is back, so indulge yourself, or you could check out some free museums across L.A. today, visit downtown Long Beach for their eco-friendly University by the Sea cultural festival, or celebrate the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra at UCLA this evening.
