LAst Night's Action: An Al Davis Press Conference Is a Sport

Notable Notes

  • Uy vey. Everyone saw Lane Kiffin's firing coming a mile away. Al Davis had a press conference to discuss his firing and introduce offensive line coach Tom Cable as interim head coach. You can watch Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 for yourself. While this is devolving into a he-said-he-said quagmire, it is quite embarassing for an owner of an NFL franchise to air the dirty laundry for all to see. This is just further proves what a joke the Raiders are and how out-of-touch Davis is. Although it must be noted that Davis was quite coherent and really tried to curb his paranoia for the public. By the way, I watch all three parts of those videos, and I want my time back.
  • MLB must be very very happy. The playoff teams comprise of both LA teams, both Chicago teams, a Philly team, a Boston team and a Tampa Bay team. Aside from Tampa Bay, each team is part of a large media market which means ratings. Unfortunately the largest market is not represented for the first time in 13 years.

Let's hope both Los Angeles teams of Los Angeles go on to victory and meet in the Freeway Series!

go doyers go angels

I said it before and I will say it again... forget the records, the Dodgers have a real chance to make it to the World Series if the hitting stays hot. The pitching will be there, we just need to SCORE RUNS!
