  • There might be a possible SAG strike on the horizon. The Screen Actors Guild has called for a strike from its board. Talks with primetime TV and movies over a new contract have stalled since the old contract expired in June.
  • A boy is expected to recover after his bike ran head on into a sheriff's patrol car. The boy was on his way to school when he turned a corner and ran into the patrol car. Since he was wearing his helmet he avoided major injuries. The CHP is investigating to avoid any conflict of interest concerns.
  • A robber got away with over $2000 after robbing a Starbucks. As the workers were closing shop, the man who was waiting in the bushes surprised the workers and had them go back in to open the safe. He got away with the cash but thankfully no one was injured. Unlike another man who tried to rob a Carl's Jr. but left with nothing after shooting an employee.
  • A truck hauling glue was rear-ended on the I-10 freeway this afternoon causing major traffic delays. You may enter your "sticky situation" joke here. No one was injured, as a matter of fact the only problem was a school bus full of badass kids that prompted a call for the CHP. Maybe they had the kids clean up the mess.
  • A new law for LA is in effect requiring most dogs and cats to be fixed before they are four months old. Enter your Fixed Fido or Fixed Feline joke here. Although the law was opposed statewide, Mayor V still signed it last year. Bob Barker is smiling somewhere we're sure.
  • Curbed LA was wondering what the deal was with some buildings along Sunset. Apparently there are some strange "recorder interfaces" that have them all confused. Guesses ranged from film school promos to alien targeting devices. What do you think they are?
