DVD Tuesday: I am Iron Man

For the 86 people who didn't see Iron Man when it was in theaters, today is your chance to see it on DVD. Trust me--the movie will be just as good on your 26-inch TV as it was on the silver screen. Forgetting Sarah Marshall gets better on the second viewing, though I'm still not sure what the big deal is with Russell Brand. Bigger, Stronger, Faster* was one of the better docs last year and is easily worth a rental. I wonder if the phony opening ceremonies from the Beijing Olympics are even phonier now that they are on DVD. As a huge fan of Beauty of the Beast, I once lived underground for 3 years harrassing innocent women from below.

Taxi to the Dark SideAnother hilarious movie about the Iraq War. | Photo courtesy of Revolver Entertainment

As with most Iraq War-themed movies, Taxi to the Dark Side failed to generate a great deal of public attention. In fact, I'd wager that more than half of the readers of this article didn't realize that it won the Oscar last year. See it. Is Lewis Black still funny? Umm...no. If you have the scratch, pop for the 8 DVD Jazz Icons set. You'll never need to buy another 8 DVD Jazz Icons set again. Yes, I realize that she basically sucks, but I still like listening to Jewel. Yes, it's probably the giant cans that make me like her. Kudos to usual d-bag Jared Leto for actually gaining real weight for Chapter 27 instead of just wearing bad make-up.
