READING: Vroman's Bookstore hosts Candace Bushnell, author of Sex and the City tonight at 7 pm. She offers another look into the lives of Manhattan's women in her new book, One Fifth Avenue. But with fame, there's a price. So at this reading, fans, please remember the rules: (1) Ms. Bushnell will ONLY be signing her books. No DVDs or memorabilia of any kind. (2) Ms. Bushnell will not sign books by other people on related subjects. (3) Personalizations are okay at this event. (4) No posed photos, but photographs from the signing line are allowed. In other words, forget about that photo of you and Candace together while she signs your Manolo's.

ART TALK: Also, tonight at 7 pm, artist Mungo Thomson discusses his recent “Negative Space” project on display on the Hammer Museum’s lobby wall, as well as other works from his film of a tree falling in the forest—literally—to a handmade comic book called Einstein.

Works by Roger Brookfield, Dan Davis, Jennifer Kristin Hugus, Tom Misuraca, Felix Racelis and Michael Sadler will be showcased. Tickets are $10.
