LA Kings come up short at Frozen Fury XI
Los Angeles Kings fans ventured into the desert to celebrate the annual pre-season ritual known as Frozen Fury where their beloved Kings faced off against the Colorado Avalanche at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday night. The atmosphere at these games is always insane because nobody has to drive home, giving fans all the more reason to get completely wasted.
The Avalanche jumped out to an early 2-0 advantage, but the Kings responded with two goals of their own. It was an emotional battle with several fights erupting as players battled for spots on their respective teams for the upcoming season. In the end, a 3-3 tie went to a shoot out and the Kings came up short, losing 4-3.
We were there to capture some photos of the highly publicized and anticipated game where the atmosphere was nearly as intense as a playoff game; something Kings' fans vaguely remember from several years past.

There's nothing like NHL hockey up close and personal. I was thoroughly spoiled by our great seats at The Forum and now it's hard to watch hockey from the rafters at Staples Center. These pictures fill in the gap for those of us who like to see the intensity of emotion that's on the ice. Thank you.
