Apres Summer Cocktail Recipe: Limoncello Vanilla Cocktail Punch

Limoncello vanilla punch by Caroline on Crack

Can't bring yourself to say good-bye to the summer just yet? Yeah, us either. Throwing a party is usually a great way to get some closure. And even better, do it with a limoncello vanilla cocktail punch for your guests.

The recipe calls for the Italian digestif limoncello and we used Ventura Limoncello Originale ($14.99 for 375 ml) which is the first limoncello to be produced in Ventura County from locally grown fruit and is only available in Southern California.

A variation of Ventura Limoncello's limoncello vanilla martini recipe, this cocktail punch tastes like a lemon cream pie with an extra sumthin sumthin.

Ingredients:

1 bottle of vanilla vodka (750 ml)
1 bottle of limoncello (375 ml)
1/2 bottle of lemon-lime soda or to taste
1 can of lemonade concentrate
Ice cubes
Blueberries for garnish

Pour the bottle of limoncello into a punch bowl followed by the lemonade concentrate. Next add the vanilla vodka and the blueberries. Each serving should be poured over ice and topped with lemon-lime soda to taste.

Salut! Perfect palate cleanser after a barbecue.

this sounds so very good right about now...mmmmm.....

clearly we need this at our next LAist get-together.

It was a hit at the party. Although the male persuasion of the group said it was too sweet and wanted to dilute it with water or substitute club soda for the lemon-lime soda.

Lindsay,
Word!

Meh. "Guys."

I thought it was perfect.
