Some sellers in California can't unload their Palin Syrah, but in the South Bay some can't wait to get a taste of Sarah Palin. The Republican vice presidential nominee is headed to So Cal for a rally at the Home Depot Center in Carson on October 4th, and folks were eager to get their tickets yesterday from the Republican campaign offices in Torrance.
The Daily Breeze spoke with those who showed up to score tickets to the rally, and found one fan who said McCain was fine, but Palin "makes the ticket. She's spunky." Another convert to the Palin-ites was a man who "said that he was unfamiliar with Palin at first, but watched her convention acceptance speech with tears in his eyes." He told the Breeze: "She represents everyone I deal with in my life. She's the average person," and that "she's a great role model for the young girls of the country." The Breeze did not mention whether or not this man only associated with state-level politicians or if he thought Palin's daughter, Bristol, was just as good a role model.
If you want to see the spunky, lipstick-sporting, average gal, hockey mom Palin in person next Saturday, you can get tickets by emailing california[at]johnmccain.com or going to the Torrance Republican campaign headquarters, which is the only South Bay-area office to have them.
