This hot weather is way more summer than fall--par for the course here in LA, true--and that means we can keep acting like it's summertime. And eating like it's summertime. Back in the actual summertime, LAist wondered why the Weekly's esteemed Jonathan Gold had a dog face, as he ruminated about hot doggeries about town, and it wasn't long after that we, too, were inspired to get our hot dog on.
Although LAist likes all kinds of hot dogs from Costco to Culver City (and a whole bunch more in between) this time we hit up one of J. Gold's picks: Vicious Dogs.
This is a no frills, no nonsense hot dog shop in the heart of NoHo Arts. You can get whatever kind of hot dog done however you like it, from Chicago to New York, and you may wind up agreeing with us (and most of the Yelpers) that it is the damn finest dog in the city. The fried sides are massive, so bring a friend to split the cheese (or chili cheese) fries (made with real cheese, a bonus for those of us so inclined) or onion rings. The counter folk are nice and the atmosphere is laid back. You'll dig this doggery!
