Sign of the Times: Bike Overcrowding

Found at my bank's building. Really, how do they know if I'm a visitor and not a tenant? Of course it would be too easy for them to just install another bike rack and solve the crowding problem.

Previously: The Variety/E Channel Meridian Club building on Wilshire.

The cost of hiring someone to remove the bike would probably be enough to install more bike parking.

US Bank on 5th has the same policy, saying that the sidewalk is private property...

I say throw a Kryptonite chain lock on there and let them try to remove it for maximum lulz.

How pathetic! They should be giving you an award for riding a bike!

US Bank is wrong. If this is downtown, call Jan Perry's office. I had a similar complaint about a business trying to claim the sidewalk. It was resolved within 48 hours.
