Walter Moore for Mayor Steps It Up

Walter Moore for MayorWater Moore, who is up against Antonio Villaraigosa for Mayor in the March 3 election has made a big announcement today. He says he's raised over $150,000 which qualifies him for the city's Public Matching Funds Program that begins in November. As of June 30, Moore had raised $113,734.90, still significantly less than Mayor Villaraigosa who claimed $1.6 million in contributions. The latest numbers will be posted after October 10, which marks the end of the current filing period.

The Public Matching Funds Program gives candidates dollar for dollar matches on contributions up to $500 from individuals (businesses and committees do not count). In 2005, Villaraigosa participated in the program and if he chooses to do so this year, he would have to agree to debate any other candidates who take advantage of the program, something that Moore will probably do.

Craig X for mayor!!!

Walter Moore is the only intelligent, qualified and in-tune candidate for Mayor of Los Angeles. From grass roots beginnigs, his campaign against "Photo-OP Villaraigossa," has raised enough money to qualify him for matching funds, and although he doesn't have the Million$ Villaraigossa has accepted from unions and City Hall Cronies, he is able and ready to take him on. But he needs you to sign the petition to get him on the ballot before Dec 4th.
MEET HIM TOMORROW, Sat, November 22 at his Campaign Headquarters between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm to sign the petition to get him on the ballot. Location: 6535 Wilshire Bl, #204, LA, 90048 (red brick building east of Wilshire and La Cienega). Park on the street so you won't get towed. Save our City!
