ART*: Ghettogloss has a new show opening tonight: Super Plush by Mr Funky. Featuring 22 artists, this is a group show that focuses on soft art -- soft sculptures, plush dolls, animals, monsters, robots etc. These works are “all hand-sewn, knit, crocheted or glued with the kind of love that makes you just want to squeeze it.” The opening reception’s tonight from 7 pm-midnight.

CHILI’S: If you like watching The Office, and you lurrve food from Chili’s, then you have to make it to Chili’s Westwood for “The Office Game Night and Season Premiere Watch.” There’s going to be trivia and a look-a-like contest at 8 pm for chances to win copies of The Office Trivia Game and The Office DVD Board Game. Then stay and watch (and eat and drink) during the 9 pm season premiere.

DIGITAL DRINKS: Digital LA is holding drinks poolside at the Roosevelt and giving attendees the chance to chat about all things digital and entertainment Bring business cards for the networking. Tickets for the event are $10.

MUSIC The free outdoor "1st & Central Summer Concerts" series in downtown L.A. concludes tonight with a dance party featuring “rhythmic bands offering Latin-laced surf music and sub-Saharan desert blues.” The evening begins at 6:30 pm with the Brooklyn-based Chicha Libre who mixes up “Latin rhythms, surf music, and psychedelic pop inspired by Peruvian music from the Amazon.” Niger’s Etran Finatawa finishes the evening with a danceable set straight outta the Sahara.

LEARN: The free networking group New Media Interchange is holding an informational meeting at the Sherman Oaks branch of the Los Angeles Public Library at 6:30 pm. This meeting’s for people who are wondering what new media can do for them, their organizations or businesses. New Media Interchange was founded by Douglas E. Welch, podcaster and computer consultant.

Do you assholes ever credit photographers that lend you their work for FREE???

Brian, that was completely my bad. yes, we do give the photographers credit. Unfortunately that line of code was dropped in the transfer. My apologies.

It's the third time for the same photographer.
