- A train struck and killed a pedestrian in Orange County. The tracks are behind a fence in an industrial area. It is not known who the person is or what they were doing anywhere near the train tracks.
- A man in Huntington Beach was killed after being hit by four cars on the Pacific Coast Highway. The man was initially hit by one car but was then run over by three other cars and killed. It is not known why the man was trying to cross the highway. The name of the victim has not been released and police are searching for one of the drivers who fled the scene.
- The leading Hollywood preservation group has been evicted from the Wattles Mansion after 25 years. The city issued the 30 day notice to vacate because of complaints that it didnt maintain the 101 year old landmark and that they throw noisy parties. The group denies the charges and said they will meet with city officials to stay and operate in the mansion.
- An Inglewood woman led police on a 100 mph chase with a 1 year old boy in her SUV. The chase started on the I-5 northbound near Carlsbad and was turned over to the California Highway Patrol who made the arrest in Inglewood.




UGH. The guy getting hit by the Amtrak train delayed my trip to LA from San Diego last night. I got to the train station at 5pm and didn't get home until after midnight. :(
