TV Junkie: Thursday

It's Always Sunny In PhiladelphiaWe've been waiting for months and it's finally here, the season premiere of "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" (FX 10:00pm). Yeah, the crew made it onto NPR yesterday and LAist might have been running some banner ads for the show but LAist interviewed co-creator Charlie Day back in the day, before the current round of promo.

Other than the laughably pathetic final season of "ER", nothing will be funnier on Thursday nights at 10pm than "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia". Thank you FX, for renewing the show for 4 additional seasons.

8:00pm Smallville The CW - Season Premiere.

9:00pm Kitchen Nightmares FOX - Gordon Ramsay visits Giuseppe's, a family-run Italian restaurant in Macomb Township, Mich., that has a chaotic atmosphere

9:00pm Supernatural The CW - Season Premiere.

10:00pm It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia FX - Season Premiere. TV Junkie Pick O' The Night.

10:00pm Flashpoint CBS - Last episode before hiatus

10:00pm Smash Lab Discovery - The crew works to prevent a logging truck from crashing and spilling its payload all over the road

10:00pm Burn Notice USA - Season Finale

12:05am Jimmy Kimmel Live ABC - Actor Ricky Gervais; actress Carla Gugino; Good Charlotte performs.

12:25am Late Night With Conan O'Brien NBC - Musician Willie Nelson; Southside Johnny performs with La Bamba's Big Band.

The show is so brilliant. If you've read the description of tonight's episode, you can be confident they haven't lost their edge. Also, I've already ordered my McPoyle Family Reunion shirt.

I didn't even get a chance to watch one episode of Flashpoint. Will the hiatus be the show's killer?

yes ER peaked years ago... but its still the most emmy nominated show in history. to call its final season laughable and pathetic is a bit harsh; no?
