SoCal native Kim Rhodes, 29, who has won four medals at various summer Olympic games for double trap and skeet shooting, found herself a victim when her custom made shotgun she used in the games was stolen yesterday.
She "was shopping for her wedding at a Lake Elsinore outlet center about 1 p.m. when the theft occurred," said Deputy Herlinda Valenzuela to the LA Times. "When Rhode returned to the parking lot about 2:30 p.m., she discovered that one of the truck's window was shattered and her shotgun, locked in a case, had been taken from the back seat," Valenzuela said.
Rhode is offering $5,000 for the return of the gun.
