Los Angeles Firefighters who were reporting to a dumpster fire this morning before 7:00 a.m. discovered a dead body set on fire. After extinguishing the fire on the 1300 block of East 15th Street near Central Ave. and the 10 Freeway, first responders called LAPD who in turn sent out homicide detectives. Police are not sure if the body was dumped there and then put on fire or not, according to Officer April Harding.

Is it just a coincidence this came up after your Burning Man post?
You guys have no tact! ;)
"Police are not sure if the body was dumped there and then put on fire or not"
wha? as if someone brought the body while in flames and *then* dumped it?
I wondered what was going on. I visited the Kelly Paper store one block east of there about 10:00am and saw that the street was taped off.
My guess is that the police are wondering if the guy was dumped and burned, or if the dude caused the fire himself or happened to succumb to the fire, or similar.
A friend works on that block, she said the body was that of a young "homeless" girl who's body was also severed. Interesting this has not made bigger news?
