TV Junkie: Monday

The Sarah Connor Chronicles Last night had some great TV. What'd you watch: "True Blood", "Mad Men", "Entourage", the VMAs? Any comments?

Tonight features a great "Top Gear", "Sarah Connor" is back, and Michael Phelps is on Leno, if you haven't had enough of him. We're kinda waiting for tomorrow's "Shield" episode though.

8:00pm Top Gear BBC America - Auto, James and Richard spend their night driving people home in their own cars after they've had too much to drink. TV Junkie Pick O' The NIght.

8:00pm Iron Chef Japan Fine Living Network - Outrageous Ingredients Week: from Sea Urchin to Spiny Lobster.

8:00pm Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles FOX - John's (Thomas Dekker) 16th birthday makes him confront his destiny. Season premiere.

8:00pm Gossip Girl The CW - Do any of you actually watch this program?

8:00pm High School Musical: Get in the Picture ABC - Season's winner announced.

9:00pm The Closer TNT - An FBI informant is the prime suspect in the deaths of two Tijuana police officers

10:00pm Date My Ex: Jo and Slade Bravo- Season Finale

10:00pm Raising the Bar TNT - The only eyewitness that can prove Jerry's client's innocence is stuck in Guatemala. (Read the LAist show profile and interviews)

10:00pm Weeds Showtime - A fed up Nancy squeals to the DEA to bust the tunnel while she plays it cool with Esteban.

11:00pm The Rachel Zoe Project Bravo - Series Premiere

11:35pm The Late Show With David Letterman CBS - Actress Keira Knightley; journalist Thomas L. Friedman.

11:35pm The Tonight Show With Jay Leno NBC - Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps; actor J.B. Smoove; Kardinal Offishall performs with Akon.

Watched Entourage, a blast as always.
Also saw VMAs. Was not that into it.

I think True Blood will continue to improve. Think about how average the first episode of Mad Men was earlier this summer.

Agree that True Blood is gonna take some time before it becomes addictive. I'd rather just have Six Feet Under back.

True Blood wasn't as bad as I expected. The previews really had a horrible CW or WB feel and I was expecting Buffy for cable.

of course I watch Gossip Girl! It's HILarious and oh so juicy! Well at least better than that stupid 90210.

And yeah True Blood was decent. What sold it for me was the closing scenes

Nice to hear a Grateful Dead song at the beginning of the Terminator tonight. Even if it is a reworked version.

I adore Gossip Girl so much. No disclaimers -- it's a really smartly-written show.

OK great - thanks everyone for the feedback, I had been listing Gossip Girl regularly but wasn't sure if any LAista's had it as a fave. I will continue to list it.
