Jessica: I’m a woman (hear me roar). The above statement was my opinion.

Hope that clears things up.

jrb: No, no, no....it's typical white, narrow-minded, myopic Rethuglican …but you’re right of course.

Perhaps I can one day be as nonconforming, open-minded and tolerant as yourself.

Hope and Change ™

Did I accuse you of being a bible thumping fundy Christian?

You haven't given me any indication that you are anything more than a typical, narrow minded, myopic, Republican.

Let me hear you bitch about welfare mothers when you don't want to do anything that will prevent them.

wow TUA - i can't tell if you're trying to be provocative or if you're really just a complete and total asshole. "just another woman's opinion?" cause women's opinions should be marginalized, or cause they don't really count? care to clarify?

That's quite a broad brush you're painting with there.

BTW, we bible thumping literalists much prefer the more “Sullivanesque” term of "Christianists".

Thanks.

TUA, like most RWW's you're assuming that all parents and kids have open lines, and a good levels of communication.

This simply isn't the case for everyone. There are kids who can't talk to their parents about things like, sex, premarital sex, or using, and insisting upon protected sex. If every kid had good communuications with their parents there would be few if any unplanned pregnancies.

This is especially true the case of bible thumping Christian literalist parents, who think that adolecents are capable of, and should be expected to, behave like saints until they are married. Children of those types of parents need to have this option more than anyone.

Yeah well, Planned Parenthood bills itself as "nonpartisan" too.

I agree that "good family communication can’t be imposed by government" but in turn, the State of California shouldn't be in the business of circumventing parental authority. Parenting is hard enough without the government allowing these kinds of decisions to be left in the hands of minors.

Just another woman's opinion.
