Why is there even an investigation. What a waste of time. Dumb witted person jumps over 2 security fences to retrieve hat. Knocked out by roller coaster passing by end of story. He's lucky he's not dead. Magic Mountain should press charges on him for trespassing.

My dad's hat blew off while riding Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland. All you have to do is go to lost & found, report where the lost item is and leave your name, phone number and address. Disneyland mailed the hat to my dad a couple days later. Easy!

ive heard of a similar incident happening at another amusement park, either Great America or Disneyland, where the guest lost his hat, climbed the fence, and got struck by a ride. must have been a really nice hat

Risking ones life for a hat??!! Unless this hat grants magical powers I do not understand, and even if it did something amazing like granting unlimited wishes to the one who wears it, dead people have no magic powers. Maybe this hat is like Frodo's ring, granting powers, but ultimately driving the wearer to obscene desire and insanity.
