After watching Sarah Palin's acceptance speech, I have to say, this woman scares the hell out of me. To say she gave a great speech is an understatement. I'm not saying what she said was great, but how she stood up there, confident as all hell and made all those Republican sheep stand and cheer. Marrying high school sweetheart, boy going to Iraq, baby with Down Syndrome...etc. The women were crying, the men were cheering and afterwards, interviewing the crowd, they all claimed "she's just like us". OMG, please make her go away!!!!

Is anyone listening to Sarah Palin's VP acceptance speech right now? I've been trying to listen while I multitask, but I'm having a hard time following her. She has a problem with intonation*. She puts emphasis on the wrong words in a sentence, so it's difficult to tell whether or not she is making a statement, asking a question, issuing a command, etc. (e.g. "He found it on the street?" vs. "He found it on the street.") Maybe she hasn't had time to practice her speech. It's very confusing listening to her speak. Or, maybe since her husband is either Native Yu’pik, or Inuit, perhaps that's affected her dialect. Giuliani gave a great speech. While I don't necessarily agree with the content, he was clear and concise. Palin's daughter's pregnancy is a private family matter and her children shouldn't be exploited for political gain - except of course when Palin wants to remind us a million times that her son is about to be deployed to Iraq. Which is precisely why the hard nosed right wing should stay out of deciding on private matters like a woman's right to choose, people's religious beliefs (or lack there of) and marriage.
