When you read something you like on LAist, we love it when you hit the "recommend" button, and we love it even more if you put your two cents' worth in the comments. Getting a dialog going with our readers and making sure we're giving you content you can use are top priorities for us.

Win Tix tohttp://laist.com/2008/08/27/win_tix_to_jack_johnson_for_this_su.php Jack Johnson for this Sunday's Concert Why, yes, we had a concert ticket contest. And, hey, that concert is tonight! Congrats to our winner, and have fun tonight!

Sarah Palin Who?* We asked, you asked, a lot of people asked. John McCain announced his running mate the morning after Barack Obama's nomination acceptance speech, and tongues were wagging.

Was Sunset Junction Supposed to be a Free Event? Okay, so after reading that headline (and the story) how many of you went: "Hey! I spent $20 to get into something that was supposed to be free?" Then again, how many of you thought $20 was reasonable to spend on a day of music and summer street fair revelry?

I Went to Radiohead & All I Got Were These Cuts & Bruises We followed up with one of the victims, Sean Carlson, of the Hollywood Bowl "beating" incident, and the pictures of his injuries really struck a chord in our readership.

David Duchovny, Sex Addict. Aw Baby - Come Over Here. For anyone who's wondered "David Duchovny, why don't you love me?" well, he might have, were it just for the, um, lovin'. The Californication star seems to have the old art-becomes-life problem these days.
