The Omnivore's Hundred: What's your score?

BlowfishOmnivore100.jpgBlowfish photo by tavallai via Flickr

Foodblogger Andrew at Very Good Taste has posted a list of one hundred foods that he thinks every omnivore should try once in his or her life. Since he posted the list earlier this month, he's gotten close to 700 comments with many, many links backs to personal lists. Clotilde Dusoulier at Chocolate and Zucchini has posted hers here. She's missing 37 from the list -- which favors access to the Anglo-American larder (and liquor cabinet).

We're well-positioned in L.A. to knock down most of the items on this list without a problem. I'm missing 20 from the list -- how about you? And what would be on your list? Check it out after the jump.

I've had at least 59, maybe one or two more. I'm surprised at some things (soft shell crabs,Dulce de leche) which I haven't tried yet. There's nothing on the list I wouldn't try, though I don't have a real desire to down any nettle tea or vodka jello.

Though I have tried many of the things on the list, I'm not sure if I will ever be brave enough to eat snake, spam, or a Big Mac.

No thanks on the Scotch Bonnet having had it's cousin the habanero, Head Cheese ain't cheese, but it does come from a head, and steak tartare is just raw meat.

I rank in the 80's and there's still so much to eat!
