New Zealand Wines Will Get the Star Treatment at a Special Dinner

glassesofwinewithdinner.jpgThe beautiful Langham Huntington Hotel is hosting a Wine Dinner next month that will feature the best wines from New Zealand, specifically those from winemaker Craggy Range, paired with a sumptuous meal in the hotel's Dining Room. Showcasing its finest wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Reisling, Chardonnay, Sophia and Syrah, winemaker Steve Smith from Craggy Range will discuss the winemaking process, the distinctive traits of the varietals and the unique history of the winery.

Foodies and wine enthusiasts will appreciate the custom-paired dishes presented by Chef de Cuisine Craig Strong that will accompany the wines. We're told that Chef Strong loves the way food and wine play together, which he enjoys spotlighting in The Dining Room’s wine dinners. Another reason to splurge go for this big ticket event is that the restaurant was recently awarded a prestigious Michelin Star (not to mention the fact that it is a lovely place to visit and slip into a sort of "other world" amidst the everyday--a local getaway in the staycation spirit; you can, of course, arrange to spend the night, too!).

The Langham’s Wine Dinner featuring the Best New Zealand Wine
Wednesday, September 10th | Reception 6:30 p.m., Dinner 7:00 p.m.
