TV Junkie: Thursday
Supposedly NBC is beating the ratings battle with this week's broadcast of the DNCC in Denver. We've listed PBS below because when you've got a commercial-free option, go for it. True we're not listing C-SPAN, but even we have standards.
Despite posting a second quarter of profitability, Tivo's stock got pummeled yesterday because their profit did not meet analyst predictions. Despite competition from cable networks, the Tivo interface seems to be the best, so it would be a shame to see this company go down or be absorbed by another entity.
5:00pm Democratic National Convention PBS/KCET - Tonight's the big night:Obama speaks in the last hour.
8:00pm The Moment of Truth FOX - The lie detector returns a two-hour episode.
8:00pm Big Brother CBS - A houseguest is eliminated and the Head of Household competition is held.
10:00pm The Gong Show with Dave Attell Comedy Central - Guest judges include Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog, Adam Carolla and Kate Walsh.
10:00pm Tabatha's Salon Takeover Bravo - Tabatha Coffey helps clean up De Cielo Spa and Salon in Burbank, CA.
10:30pm Reality Bites Back Comedy Central - This week it's “The Amazing Disgrace.” The final three comedian-contestants team up and scour Los Angeles in humiliatingly painted vans - that's an identifiable segment of traffic in LA.
12:35am Late Night With Conan O'Brien NBC - Actress Amy Sedaris; Olympic gold medalist Aaron Peirsol; Lykke Li performs.

tivo has tivo'd the stock increases so it can watch them later

Why the diss on C-Span? It was the only place to watch it without any spin whats so ever.

When you say the TIVO stock got "pummeled" you mean go up right?
That's what the stock has done daily for the past week and is up more than 13% in the past five days. The article you linked referencing the stock decline made zero reference to stock price and says the analyst had predicted a 2 cent a share loss but the company posted a 3 cent per share profit. Not only NOT a loss, a profit AND beat expectations by 5 cents. The entire article is a positiive for the copmany!!!
Stick to writing about the arts, financial reporting is not your strong suit. Your inability to decipher the article YOU yourself linked to does border on comedy though. Thanks for the good times.
