Flights taking off from airports across the country were delayed after a communications breakdown occurred with the Federal Aviation Administration's processing data for flight-plans at two separate facilities near Atlanta, Georgia and in Salt Lake City, Utah. As for LAX, the FAA reported little to no impact to flights departing West of Chicago and Dallas, according to Treva Miller, an LAX Spokesperson. "As of 2:38 p.m. PST, LAX was not experiencing any flight arrival or departure delays longer than 15 minutes," she said.
