Department of Homeland Security vs. Lesbians

Homeland Security Guard kicks out Lesbian

A contract security guard for the Department of Homeland Security ousted a woman from a Van Nuys federal building yesterday because she was wearing a t-shirt with "lesbian.com" printed on it when she came to pick up a social security card for her son.

The guard from Paragon Security guard said he was right to do so and quoted The Rules and Regulations Governing Conduct on Federal Property to the Contra Costa Times. But upon a further look, the paper found that "the document does not specifically address what type of clothing is allowed in federal buildings."

Lapriss Gilbert's mother drove out to the building and called the LAPD, who arrived with at least one federal office, but Gilbert had already been allowed back into the building, but only escorted by security to the front of the line.

A Homeland Security spokeswoman said the actions were " inappropriate and unacceptable." An ACLU representative said cases like these are rare in federal buildings.

Maybe their logo is a giant spiked dildo.

It's no wonder the rest of the world hates us. We have a bunch of morons living in this country. What does a T-shirt have to do with terrorism? I hope that security officer got fired.

Shouldn't the headline read;

"Dumbass security guard who thinks he has any kind of real authority vs Lesbians"

Most security guards are cop wanna-bes who, (thank god), didn't pass the test, or got rejected. They're usually pissed off at life because they have to guard some stupid building when they'd much rather be out on the street violating people's civil rights, and beating confessions out of suspects.

The rest of the world doesn't hate us. Usually, Americans are welcomed with open arms. It's our government's actions that cause the most concern; not it's citizens.

This Van Nuys incident just strengthens that impression...sadly since the perpetrator was a contractor not a government employee.

Though with this administration, contractor and federal employee seem interchangeable.

Welcome to HOMELAND security!
I hope this woman gets a nice settlement out of this.
Shame on you Van Nuys!

god, i love dykes. they're bad-ass even when they don't wanna be.
