I second the "how armed were they?" because I walk/bike in my neighborhood all the time. Yeah, the Weho Sheriffs were totally in agreement with you Zach. The 2 guys who broke in (my neighbor saw them and called the cops) went straight for his center console where he keeps his Ipod. The sheriff said to make sure to not keep anything out in your car or in a compartment that doesn't lock (like your trunk).

This is right by our house! Man what a bummer. I guess riding bikes home late at night isn't that safe. :( How ARMED were they? GEEZ.

El Guapo, I was just trying to get someone on a Hollywood street. Yeah, it's abstract, but the Hollywood residential pedestrian photos are next to none out there in flickr world. bluewitchbaby, your BF's stolen iPod is one of the common crimes in Los Angeles. Burglary from Motor Vehicles (BFMV) is something we should all try to be aware of. Officers in the Van Nuys Division have begun a community marketing campaign called "Leave It, Lose It," or something like that. Leaving an iPod or even the iPod charger is a great target for criminals. It's also a really easy target. The ones who are good at it can break a car window without making much noise at all. Stay safe out there!

Maybe these are the same jerk-faces that broke my bf's passenger window and stole his ipod when he was parked down the street from me (on Willoughby between Sweetzer and Kings). They dusted his car for prints and I hope they catch these guys.
