- NowPublic announced today that our very own LAist Editor, Zach Behrens, is one of the 20 most influential individuals in Los Angeles ("in the digital landscape"). He came in at #8 (you go dude!). - Joan Hyler, Producer and Talent Manager who was struck on the PCH on Friday by 50-year-old Walter Filippini, is still in critical condition today with brain trauma and multiple fractures. "There was no sign of intoxication and no traffic violation on the part of Mr. Filippini, so there will be no further traffic investigation," said sheriff's Sgt. Philip Brooks.
- Santa Monica passed the overhaul of parking garages located next to the 3rd Street Promenade. The new look was designed by local architects Pugh + Scarpa.
- Seven SoCal men were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into 55 men believed to produce and possess child pornography. "The evidence is horrific,'' said U.S. Attorney Thomas O'Brien."
