Box Office Review: A Sound of Thunder

After four weeks at the top of the box-office world, The Dark Knight ($16.7M/$471.4M) was finally knocked from its aerie by the bawdy comedy, Tropic Thunder ($26M/$37M) this weekend. The Dark Knight did manage to eclipse Star Wars as the second-highest grossing film of all-time (not adjusted for inflation) over the weekend and now fixes its sights firmly on Titanic. Speaking of Star Wars, the Clone Wars had a less than stellar debut ($15.5M) as fans continue to reject George Lucas' new vision of the historic saga.

The weekend's final wide opener, Mirrors bowed to a lackluster $11.1M. After that it was stoner comedy Pineapple Express ($10M/$62.9M); the crappy Mummy 3 ($8.6M/$86.6M); the fun Mamma Mia! ($6.4/$116.4M); the dull Sisterhood of the Magic Pants 2 ($5.9M/$32.1M); the hilarious Step Brothers ($5M/$90.8M) and Woody Allen's latest Vicky Cristina Barcelona ($3.7M). In limited release, Fly Me to the Moon 3D was weak ($4424 per theater) while Henry Poole Is Here was dead on arrival ($1518 per).

I think you meant 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2,' not 'Sisterhood of the Magic Pants 2.'
...Unless that was intentional...

"Sisterhood of the Magic Pants 2" sounds like a porn parody title.
