Punk Rock Social: Shattered Faith, Channel 3 in L.B. Punk Rock nostalgia abounded when Alex's Bar in Long Beach hosted old-schoolers Channel 3, Shattered faith, and newcomers the Krum Bums for a night of adrenaline-injected tunes and some mosh pit action.

Long Beach Tests Out Biodiesel And in another LBC story, Mayor Bob Foster and City Councilmember Bonnie Lowenthal greeted members of the press and community for a beachfront demonstration of the City's biodiesel program this week. Ten city vehicles, including skip loaders, tractors and dump trucks will soon be fueled up with a mixture of 80% diesel and 20% biodiesel in an effort to green up the city.
