I'd love to know about a non-chain fondue place... I love Melting Pot's chocolate fondue with amaretto. YUM!

I am 1) Amazed that someone would imply fondue is mostly a dessert thing. 2) Please go to a non-chain fondue place, it's much better.

If you go with a large group, you actually get a great variation of cheeses, oils, and chocolates that makes it well worth the money. Even though this is one of my favorite places ever, I hardly ever go because I'm not sure it's worth it unless you have enough people to get at least 2 pots at a time (4-6 people). But just thinking about it is making me drool...
