Want to be in a Weezer Video and Break World Records?

After the success of their their last music video, Weezer is set to film yet another for their song, "Troublemaker," and looking to break some world records while at it with fans who want to be in the music video (you must be available on August 21st in the Los Angeles Area).

A Weezer representative told LAist that the world record attempts could be something like making the longest leap frog line and most air guitarists. He also said that if any of you have ideas, you can write a suggestion down in LAist's comment section and they'll consider it too (or if you have any crazy special talents to display, let them know). If you want to be in the video, there's a widget below the jump to register.

What about largest "W"? Everyone could lay head to foot and make a giant W on the ground. Even if it doesn't break a record, it would look really amazing. Next album cover perhaps?

Maybe giving everyone involved a small (cheap) flashlight, and doing some filming after dusk with a huge crowd of coordinated lit-up people could produce some sweet effects.

Not that anyone asked, but I still consider Weezer's first two albums to be a couple of the best albums ever, but haven't enjoyed anything since then nearly as much. However, I'd still happily be a part of this music video, and may just find myself joining in on the 21st!
