With all the talk of China and their lack of human rights standards, it is nice to see a local Los Angeles business that goes above and beyond to uphold human rights, environmental, and animal rights standards.
The Vegan Collection just officially launched their online vegan shoe store this week. Currently only selling one type of business shoe (in two colors), we had a chance to buy a pair of test ones back in April. In fact, it was the very first pair of shoes they sold.
So far, the comments have been positive on the looks side of things and they've held up great--still looking as good today as the day they were bought.
The business is eco-friendly, vegan, uses fair trade labor and the business owner gives 25% of his profits to four animal charities (Animal Acres, Animal Ark, ARME, Kitten Rescue)

So the next time you're caught with your foot in your mouth, at least your shoe will make for a nutritious meal?
$46 plastic shoes! YAY!
dumb idea....pleather? yuck, and before all yous self righteous people get all self righteous, go have a nice glass of wine, a steak and chill out.
(hey people, it's a joke).
i really dig this company. it is hard to find shoes as a vegan! it's about time more places started carrying cool looking shoes that are guaranteed cruelty-free. if i were a dude, i would totally buy these shoes.
Another great day for vegan options. LA has a great deal of Vegan restaurants but almost no vegan clothing stores.
Weird. Maybe I should start one? Anyone have a good location in mind?
