Does anyone expect more for one of the country's ugliest and worst major airports? "Air India is dropping its three weekly round-trip flights, which along with cuts by other foreign carriers is really bad news for an airport that has been pushing more international business," says Mark Lacter per the Daily Breeze over at LA Biz Observed. "The Indian carrier will still fly out of SF - and that's also bad news because LAX officials have been competing with San Francisco for the lucrative overseas business." 213 international weekly takeoffs and landings at LAX are expected to be slashed by November.

Because LAX is a shithole, and SFO's International Terminal is beautiful.
LAX is an embarrassment.
I am not surprised. While LA politicians stick their heads in the asses and let LAX become even more of a laughingstock, airlines move elsewhere. And the LA economy and jobs suffer because of it.
LA should have a world class airport on par with ones such as Hong Kong, Shanghia, etc.
I have been to Tokyo's Narita International Airport many times and they recently opened a brand new spacious terminal. It is beautiful. Attached is a nice walkable shopping mall with many restaurants.
LAX Bradley International Terminal is an embarassment.
even JFK in new york services its citizens better than LAX. i mean you can actually take subway train to a shuttle train which takes you right to any terminal.
too bad LA politicians don't care enough about its citizens enough to get decent public transportation, in a timely manner.
even with the recession California has a larger GNP than most countries, so where the heck does all the money go?
Any word on when the Air India flights in and out of LAX will stop?
