With so much going on in the world of sports right now with the Olympics, baseball, USC injuries and all, here's a list of things to keep an eye on.
- The USA got it's first medal sweep in women's fencing. Mariel Zagunis defended her 2004 gold medal defeating Sada Jacobson 15-8 in the finals. Becca Ward defeated Russia's Sofiya Velikaya in the third-place match 15-14. Below is a video teaching the basic fencing attack.
- Michael Phelps ain't playing around. Phelps set a new Olympic record in the 400-meter individual medley in the qualifying round. His goal of breaking Mark Spitz's record of seven gold medals in the 1972 Munich games is off to a blistering start.
- While the people at USC are breathing a sigh of relief knowing that Mark Sanchez suffered a dislocated left kneecap and no ligament damage, can anyone say Andrew Bynum?
