With so much going on in the world of sports right now with the Olympics, baseball, USC injuries and all, here's a list of things to keep an eye on.

  • In the aftermath of Brett Favre's trade to the New York Jets, quarterback Chad Pennington was released by the Jets and then acquired by the Miami Dolphins. This will help resolve the Dolphin's quarterback situation that had seen no frontrunner emerging from the trio of John Beck, Josh McCown and Chad Henne. Pennington, it must be noted, was the first round pick of the Jets in 2000 while Bill Parcells, current Dolphin VP of football operations, was coaching the Jets.
  • It sounds like Manny Ramirez will be cutting his hair when he gets back in Los Angeles. The most amazing part of this whole deal is just how gushing TJ Simers has been the last two weeks. That's not happened since... Well I don't think it's ever happened.
