The Launching Allee Party

Things were jumping last night at "Willis Wonderland", Allee Willis' super-cool party pad. The party was in celebration of the launch of "Bubbles and Cheesecake's" new video, "Editing is Cool". "Bubbles" is Allee's singing, painting alter-ego, and "Cheesecake", Bubble's collaborator, is the alter-ego of Holly Palmer, who recently spent some time on the road with Gnarls Barkley. The video is a follow-up to their YouTube sensation, "It's a Woman Thang". Check out the video after the jump!

The event last night was also an art exhibit for Bubble's paintings. Each is a hand-painted copy of an original artwork with motifs as varied as stuffed celery and Isaac Hayes. But it is the shriners that captured my heart, and I have my eye on a particular one already. You have your choice of various sizes, and the paintings are surprisingly affordable.

Besides songwriting, video, and art, Allee Willis is known as the hostess with the mostess, so let's hit the party!!! (Then check out the video after the jump!)

While I was snapping photos, Michael Des Barres puckishly held an iPhone up to my camera, giving me a perfect shot of a girl in a revealing bikini. Diva Zappa quickly snatched it away from him. He was a good sport about playfully posing for me himself, and like a good sport, I will not post the pictures on the internet. You will just have to settle for this adorable pic.
