Heralded pianinst Otmaro Ruiz and his band headline at the valley's jazz hotspot The Baked Potato. Ruiz' music is a unique blend of classical rhythms ranging from Chopin to Piazzolla with some Latin American flavor in between for good measure.

Ink & Paint: The Art of Hand-Drawn Animation, a new exhibition by the folks who bring you the famed Oscar awards, highlights the hard work of traditional animation artists. The exhibition includes works from numerous animated classics, including Cinderella, 101 Dalmatians, Sleeping Beauty, Pink Panther and many others. Through August 24th.
