Wallpaper. comes to 'Dance Right' at La Cita

Oakland's pranksters/dancemasters wallpaper. are playing several L.A. shows next month, including Dance Right (even better link) at La Cita on August 14th. On local label Eenie Meenie Records (Great Northern), wallpaper. is the brainchild of Eric Frederic, lead singer of indie rock group Facing New York, and aka Ricky Reed (apparently just returned after having gone missing). His partner in crime is Arjun Singh, and together the duo produce shamelessly ironic, retro dance music with lyrics like "Every time we do it...it makes me wanna do it again". Founded by Frederic in 2005 as a joke side-project, wallpaper. has become a sincere crowd favorite, sharing line-ups with the likes of LA Riots, Electric Soft Parade, Subtle and Darondo.
