Oops! I just went back and looked at my link. The guy's name is James Holman. His occupation is listed as the publisher of The San Diego Reader.

If you view the list of contributors you'll note several other companies contributing big bucks. It's always good to know who NOT to do business with.

"...it brings the bible beaters to the polls big time just like the anti-gay marriage propositions."

You betcha!

I really think J. Holbrook is on some kind of a mission. If you look at the SoS link I posted, you'll notice Holbrook contributed $1.4 million to the olny committee listed as supporting prop 4. This looks to me like it was the initial money used to pay for signature gatherers, so I'd bet he had something to do with authoring the bill as well.

Oh, and, Elise, if it passes we can go into the smuggling business together just like on Weeds!

Funny how these things always come up during presidential election years... It will never pass (better not!) but it brings the bible beaters to the polls big time just like the anti-gay marriage propositions.

A woman's uterus is not a clown car. The No on 4 campaign is going to need help on this one. The latest Field Poll has people in favor of it.

Once again James Holbrook, owner of the San Diego Reader, pops up as one of the BIG money donors in support of this...

If they could tell their parents, they already would have. If this passes I volunteer to drive teens across the border myself.

Good post Jessica,

"...why bring it back for another vote?"

A rhetorical question, I know.

One answer;
Because fanatical bible thumping moralists will never give up trying to control everyone elses' morals. I haven't looked at who's money is supporting this latest effort, but if I had to guess I'd say it is probably the same people who put up the money to get it on the ballot, and fund the campaigns the last two times.
