DO A TOLKIEN TRILOGY ALL-NIGHTER
From 8:30 p.m. until dawn (seriously) in the One Colorado Courtyard in Old Town Pasadena the Old Pasadena Film Festival will be blowing things out Middle Earth-style with back to back to back screenings of the whole Rings trilogy, followed by a sunrise Hobbit Breakfast.

"BEE" OUTDOORS FOR A MOVIE IN MALIBU
Enjoy a screening of Bee Movie outdoors in beautiful Malibu as part of the CineMalibu free family movie nights series at Bluffs Park. The show starts at dusk...don't forget a blanket!

SEE SOME FUNNY, WIN SOME MONEY
Running Your Trap: The Game Show at Upright Citizens Brigade gives audience members the chance to win up to $100 at the show, as contestants compete to discover what weird, strange and funny facts apply to the comedian panelists. It's hosted by Jimmy Pardo, and this week features Matt Walsh ("Semi-Pro"), Morgan Vukovic ("Red Sandwich"), and Pat Francis. (Tickets)

GET YOUR PUPPETRY ON
The Santa Monica Museum of Art has an evening of puppetry featuring three different acts. See epics, dramas, serials, and folk tales in puppet shows featuring great puppeteers and playwrights. Just a heads up, though--although it's puppets it's not completely kid-friendly. (Tickets)

PARTY LIKE IT'S 1899
Hit the lawn at 7:30 tonight for Summer Festival at the Huntington, when the grounds stay open into the evening hours as the Southwest Chamber Music group entertains with what they do best. The Huntington grounds will open up at 5:30 for meandering, but leave the chow at home, since you can't picnic on the historic lawns.

Other Things to Do: Ride the new Dodgers Trolley tonight for a night game against the Washington Nationals, seek out some of the "summer" themed art shows opening tonight, draw your own conclusions about Joe Peep's pizza, risk your health with a Baskin Robbins Oreo treat, or give Google's new walking directions a run for the money.

Another note for events happening tonight: If you don't already have your tickets for CIRQUE BERZERK, all remaining shows are completely sold out (tonight and tomorrow). No walk-ups will be accepted.
