A week ago Wednesday, LAPD's Special Weapons And Tactics Team responded to an incident where a Edward Kaddis, 61, had earlier shot and killed his brother, William Kaddis, 64, according to a statement by the LAPD today.
After the shooting, Kaddis then barricaded himself inside the home refusing to come out. Police, responding to a shots fired call at the building near Crenshaw and Olympic found the dead brother lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head and pulled him out of the line of fire. Police later learned that he was shot through the metal screen door. SWAT was able to negotiate Kaddis' surrender shortly before midnight, ending the six and a half hour incident.
