United Airlines To Pull 20% of Flights from LAX

united-airlines-lax.jpgThe next in a series of airlines cutting flights to and from LAX is United. The second biggest carrier at the airport announced today that they "will slash about 20 percent of its Southern California schedule, or about 40 flights a day, including nonstop service to Frankfurt and Hong Kong," according to KCBS. They also report that Ontario Airport will be losing Jet Blue and ExpressJet, totaling a 37% loss in flights and making the airport one of the "hardest hit" in the industry.

hoping my int'l flight tomorrow doesn't get cancelled, although I did purchase travel insurance just in case...and not flying United, but seems like no airline is exempt nowadays. Hope they keep the Jet Blue service in Burbank, since I will be flying in the Fall as well
