Pencil This In: Wednesday

EAT
Have you ever wondered what a lamb burger would taste like? How about a kobe beef burger? Wonder no more. Larchmont Grill presents Gourmet Burger Night where one can all of those, plus a salmon burger. Not into meat or fish? No problem, they also offer a house-made veggie gourmet burger.

THEATER
Shakespeare Festival/LA brings Shakespeare's greatest works to life with a unique L.A. twist. The classic comedy, The Taming of the Shrew takes center stage this Wednesday at The South Coast Botanic Garden. Bring a blanket, a sweater and your picnic basket to enjoy some great outdoor theater.

MUSEUM
150 years of Chinese-American history are showcased at the Pacific Asia Museum. The exhibition covers topics dating back to the Chinese immigrant workers and the building of the International Railroad in the 19th century. Through July 27.

MUSIC
The unique sounds of valley locals Relax To Paris headline at El Rey Theater, along with Goodbye Elliott with Maxim Ludwig and the Santa Fe Seven, Bidwell, Vapeur, and Goodnight Sunrise. Check out Relax's web site for a sampling of their music.

COMEDY
The place that has seen the likes of Howie Mandell and Jay Leno, amongst numerous other famous comedians continues its 30th anniversary celebration on Wednesday as it presents 20 Comics a Night. Featured comedians include club favorites ranging from national headliners, up and coming talent, and surprise guests. A wider variety of talent for all comedic tastes.
