jordan, it's not that they can't take the 10 dollars fast enough, it's that the people who park don't look for the 10 dollars until they roll down the window and get asked for 10 dollars.

They need to do some tweaking on Manchester Ave.

Getting a green at La Tijera heading east I was stopped at Wiley Post. Airport Ave also turned red at the same time. Once I got the green at wiley Post it was smooth sailing to Aviation.

Traveling south and north on sepulveda between LAX and Culver City has improved dramatically.

Going south, all the lights are synced up starting from the Fox Hills mall area all the way down to Westchester. From there, it's not too bad either, just some left over street construction.

Living in Playa del Rey I just stated noticing these. So far the only ones I've seen are either at intersections that don't really experience any traffic at all (Pershing & Westchester, Imperial & Main St. El Segundo), or intersections that will not be helped even slightly by light timing (Imperial & Vista Del Mar, which only backs up because the guys working the beach parking lot can't take people's $10 fast enough on beach weekends). If anything the latter would be most improved by changing the pay structure of the beach parking lot (a machine in the lot rather than a gatehouse right near the road), and eliminating all the free spots on Vista Del Mar that encourage people to take ill-advised Uturns and sprint across a 45mph street to get to the beach.

There is certainly bad traffic around LAX, but most of the times it's on the 405, not the surface streets, and light timing won't speed it up in the slightest.

The signs have been up for over a month. You really have to look high to find them.

Do they work? If it was just put into operation today that might explain why they didn't seem to be working since I noticed the signs going going up. I even sent an email to LADOT asking them what they meant.

Every morning I would get a green at La Tijera going eastbound and by at Airport Ave the light would turn red. So much for synchronized. The only way I could get a green would be to drive at 60 mph.

I'll let you know tomorrow.

** The Signal Sync ONLY works when you drive at the speed limit.
