GLOW: The Aftermath

"Ain’t no party like a West Coast party ’cause a West Coast party don’t stop”

Some arrived early, and some arrived late, but the true die-hards at GLOW hung on until the bitter end. You can't really claim Westside cred until you've woken up face-planted on the beach.

Fun photos! Always love those post-party shots in the light of day.

So who DID clean up the beach?

When the Militant got to the beach on Saturday night, at around 2 a.m., there was this one dude lying face-down in the sand, not moving at all...A group of other dudes nearby decided to cover him up in seaweed and kelp, and place empty bottles next to him as they laughed.

He did not flinch.

The Militant took a pic of this. If anyone's interested, he'll put it in his blog.

I like to check to make sure my subjects are breathing. As long as he's alive, we'd love to see your photo. Link us to your blog, anyways - I'd def read it!

As I was winding down these pics, each art group took down their own installations and the city came in with the big machinery and "Poof!" by 7:30 am the beach was family-ready. No one was rousted, but they knew when it was time to leave. Other than a few deflated white tarps from big installations, the beach was shockingly pristine.

I can post the uhh, aftermath of the aftermath clean beach shots. I don't ever have to stop posting GLOW shots. We can do this forever...

"About time for a Bass ale. It's a good thing the King's Head opened early in anticipation of the afterglow."

A proper British breakfast!
